Ashbridge donation hits the high notes with local residents

Ashbridge Roofing bosses were delighted to gift a keyboard, complete with headphones, to the residents of Scunthorpe’s Myos House; a specialist scheme designed for those with a dementia diagnosis.

The donation takes pride of place in the communal lounge where the residents spend much of their time, and is expected to be well used by the residents and staff alike.

Ashbridge attended a recent open day at Myos House, and gifted the donation then, complete with a gold plaque. Ongo colleague Lesley played the keyboard for the residents and attendees at the open day.

Anita Catley, Dementia Scheme Officer at Myos House, said: “We are so pleased with the donation and can’t thank Ashbridge enough for thinking of us.

“The residents will enjoy listening and playing the keyboard – they’re quite a musical bunch and we all know the calming effects that music can have.”

Rob Cully, Ashbridge Roofing General Manager said: “We were delighted to gift the residents and colleagues of Myos House the keyboard.

“Music is so powerful and can evoke feelings of nostalgia and calmness, so we knew it would be the perfect gift for them.”
